I used dvd decrypter and dvd shrink to copy a movie. Now the original movie has several pauses with musical note symbols in the lower corner. What happened??? And how do I prevent it from happening again?? Thanks for your help.
So, your saying that somehow your legally purchased pressed DVD movie has been corrupted by DVDD and Shrink!?!
I've been told I could get help here, apparently I was wrong.
Thus far all I've received is childish sarcasm. Thanks for nothing.

Hi!
Perhaps you're reading more into the post by quot;feedbackquot; than is actually there.
The point is, your initial posting makes it sound like you believe your original, purchased DVD is now behaving differently than it did before you made a copy - and that it's due to the copying software you've used. If you mean something else, perhaps you can RE-explain a bit more clearly. However, if this is what you mean[/B]:
1) Rest assured that neither of the programs you used can do anything at all to affect/alter a commercial, pressed DVD
2) Try cleaning your original, purchased DVD
3) Try running a DVD/CD cleaning disc on the player you've used to play your original, purchased DVD
4) Try playing your original, purchased DVD on another player
5) When playing the original, purchased DVD, make certain that you haven't inadvertently selected quot;Closed Captioningquot;
6) Check to see if the copy you've made exhibits the same behaviour when played on the same system you've played your original, purchased DVD
What is the TITLE and Region of your purchased, commercial DVD?
Have you previously successfully backed up any other original, commercial, purchased DVDs using DVd Decrypter and/or DVD Shrink?
I've been told I could get help here, apparently I was wrong.
Folks here are more than happy to help - but first you've got to make certain you've expressed yourself clearly...[/Color]
Thank you for your sincere reply. The Movie is quot;Rayquot; region 1. I have, in fact, copied other movies without incident. This one, however, caused me grief. As I said, after burning it, I played the copy and noticed that it pauses a lot and during the pauses, there are two quot;notequot; symbols side by side on the bottom right corner. I then played the original on 3 different dvd players and the same thing happens! The original played fine before I copied it. Everyone I have spoken to have never had this problem. Any idea???
The magic information here is that the DVD is quot;Rayquot; ;gt;} Whether intentionally or inadvertently, you've selected the quot;Show extended scenesquot; option. The quot;notesquot; indicate the coming of the quot;extensionquot; to the scene - and they do take an inordinate amount of time to start playing the extension...
By the way, your initial post does NOT indicate that the copy you made also exhibited this behaviour...
Thank you so much for taking the time to help me out. I have no idea about the quot;show extended scenesquot; option. I will definitely check into it. Nice to have folks like you around!
Nice to have folks like you around!
At my age, it's nice to still be around ;gt;}
