Sorry if such a subject doesn't respect forum rules. I am not sure.

I'd like to know what are the last methods to determine encrypting key. When I use DVDDecrypter or SmartRipper, it founds the key very quickly. So do they still use brute force like Vobdec, or do they get the key directly from the dvd player ?

If you take a look e.g. at the quot;Settings/CSSquot; on DVD decrypter you will get the answer.

vobdec is a bad way of doing it (slower, doesnt always get the key)...So, DeCSS+ if you dont have access to the disk, amp; doing it the normal DeCSS if you have.
