Extracting Audio from DivX

I have encoded my VOB files from a DVD into one .avi DivX file to go onto my portable media player. Although the video is good you can get better battery life by just listening to audio files. Is there anyway of extracting the audio from the .avi DivX file to the format of .mp3 or .wma etc etc?

Thanks

Hi. Open the file in VirtualDub, extract the audio and encode in the format you want.

Use VirtualDubMod -gt; Stream -gt; Stream list -gt; Demux

For mp3 is BeLight, BeSweet, BeHappy. For wma i don't know. Don't ask what is best.

Ok, when using BeSweet in the Wizard mode, I choose everything I want it to be, click 'Go' and all that opens is a 'Notepad' log file - it doesn't actually encode anything! What am I doing wrong?

I appear to have been able to do it, not in the Wizard mode. Thanks for your help
