what vbr bitrate settings do you use? like, settings, question, average

This question comes up from time to time and if it follows form you will get a wide range.   Try a search to see the posts from the past with users that no longer frequent here.  Try words like Best and the like.

Some like more minutes over top quality, while other exactly the opposite.
Most tend to make sure the average never drops below 1500 or so.  

Some like our old friend DDogg made videos for trips with his kids so for him the longer on one cd the better as long as the quality looked at least ok.  It didn't have to be great or even good.

Personally I do all my encodes with 5000 max, 600 Min, and never let the average fall below 2000.  However I have a three disc DVD changer that can play those bitrates.  So I always have my movies on 3 discs and if it's an especially long movie I will use my 90 or 99 minute CDR discs for that extra 200mb per disc I get.
