VERY difficoult to de-interlace
Hi I have an NTSC source that I want to deinterlace
but if I use smooth deinterlacers (bob too)
I lose details and as the movie comes quite blurred I'd like to avoid it.
The best method I found up now is to use Smooth Deinterlace 2.7 beta (I think) from Donald G. and its ok for the details but its apparently unable to delete EVERY interlacing artifacts
Can anyone help me please ?

try to use the latest decomb (avisynth plugin) from neuron2
or you can also try the ivtc plugin for avisynth
Make a short clip available for download in HUFYUV. It should be unprocessed source material and should exhibit the problem you are describing.
Oh Donald what do you mean for HUFYUV ?
I must create a little .vob ?
A little VOB is fine too.
see if its enought...
see if its enought...
I cant attach the file is too big, but I think that at least 2mb is required Donald have you icq number ? mine is 171397072
Put it on a web site somewhere and then post the ucl.
Why don't you just use the bob function included into avisynth?
No I would say Decomb is the way to go if you are looking to maintain quality
The built-in Avisynth Bob is not very good. Currently, Xesdeeni's port of Gunnar Thalin's Deinterlace Smooth appears to be the best way to get double frame rate output.
Me myself have not found anything to match your decomb
This includes forced film
I will decomb a dvd before i would force film it. Its a bit of an overhead but i find the quality result worth it.
The over head is no way near tring to encode 59 fps and i would never go back there the quality increase is not worth it. |
