sub2sami error message? help please! only, message, provided, version, another

im using sub2sami to convert the sub file to sami (this is the only way i know how) so i can have a non perm sub in wmp.
I just updated my pc and formated with winxp. now i get an error when i try and load sub2 sami:

Failed to load control 'commondialog' from COMDLG32.OCX. Your version of COMDLG32.OCX may be outdated. Make sure you are using the version of the control that was provided with your application.

I have no idea were to get this updated. is there another way to get a smi file? i am prepared to re-rip the sibtitles to get a smi file! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

I think SubResync (from VobSub package) have sami output. Try it.

And there is much better way how to view subtitles in WMP - using filter from VobSub: Install VobSub, place the .sub file in your movie dir, rename the quot;xxxquot;.sub to quot;your moviequot;.sub and just play you movie using WMP. Now you get perfectly looking subtitles with bebefit to see them on TV-Out too.
