cce and avi like, direction, encode, frame

Hi all, have a couple of movies in AVI format that I want to burn to DVD-R.  I'vee used DVD2SCVD and CCE to encode from a DVD but have not been able to get it to work with and AvI file.  I've looked all around and haven't been able to find a guide.  Can anyone point me in the right direction!  Thanks in advance

you are probably talking about divx movies that are encoded in odd frame sizes, which will make CCE not like it too well, in which you'll have to use tmpgenc or put the avi thru avisynth to do resizing and letterboxxing.
