Why the wrong ratio quality, reference, software, checked

I have used DVDx for some time but I thought I give DVD2SVCD a try. The movie I ended up with, using CCE, was far better in quality then DVDx so count me in using this software(s). The only problem i have is that the movie ended up in wrong ratio.
It is an 16:9 movie but ended up in some strange 4:3 format.
What can I have done wrong?
I have checked the ratio of the originalmovie and it is really widescreen.

widescreen letterbox most likely..which means choose 4:3...read newbie reference, etc.
