Can I Change an Xvid .avi Aspect Ratio? only, currently, something, change

Hi All,

Does anyone know how to change the aspect ratio of an Xvid .avi file from something like 4:3 to 16:9.  I'd rather not re-encode if I don't have to.

I have tried MPEGModifier but it doesn't seem to work.  I think I read somewhere that it only works with VLC player, which I don't use.  I'm currently using bsplayer, or Winamp.

Any help appreciated.  Thanks.
