Fujifilm 8.5gb DVD+R dual layer dvd single, experience, particular, different, problems

Does anyone have any experience with this particular disc??? I bought a spool of them at Best Buy the other day, and so far my luck has been hit or miss.  Sometimes I will insert the disc and my player will bring up the menu, other times I get the dreaded 'This type of disc can not be read, please insert a different disc, blah blah blah etc.'

On the other hand, I havent seemed to have any problems with my Sony 4.x gb single layer discs, so I'm fairly sure that my burner is working. I'm just not sure if Fujifilm = n00bs, or if I should try a different approach to my burns.

Try updating your burner's firmware.

Return the Fuji and buy Verbatim DL discs.  

Best Buy usually has Verbatim on sale at least once a month. The sale price comes out to be slightly less than $2 per disc if you buy the 10 or 20 disc spindle. They are media code MKM.
