which surround headphones?

I am considering purchasing headphones that produce
surround sound (5.1). What would you recommend?
What is the surround panorama that such headphones produce?
Is it comparable to a standard 5.1 speakers set? (in terms of sound direction perception?)
Please help.

The sales on the retailer market seems a lot discouraged.

Although it is true that the HRTF based surround effect is excellent in expensive 2ch headphones, my impression is that the 5.1ch headphones are superior in media play, less expensive and far better quality than average 2ch headphones.

As you have already found out,
I am pretty much sceptical about the HRTF thing.
So I preffer a multi-membrane headphones,
(maybe I have a strange head shape, with
alien ears, and therefore the averaged model does not work in my case)
