Splitting Avi With Ac3 sound problem neither, sony, anything, problem, convert

hi, i have a divx movie that is 3 cd.
i want to convert it to dvd, but and doesnt fit to 1 dvd
i want to make it 2 seperate divx parts, but neither virtualdub, nor sony vegas could split the second disc and join the two parts of 2nd disc to 1st and 3rd cd. (they all change ac3 to 2 ch wav)
how can i split avi that has ac3 audio stream???

y would virtualdub convert anything if you use direct stream copy for audio?

i use vdub 1.65 and its useless...
it gives an error...
i want to split avi with ac3 header.
is there a mod 4 vdub 4 ac3, or does sony vegas etc. can do this???
(which program except vdub can split??)

ah... it gives an error... ever tried reading it? i believe there are some splitting guides around here too...

it just gives an error that tells audio stream error the encoding cannot be done if i set direct stream copy to both audio and video...

may theer be a codec problem of ac3 then??
playing ac3 is so normal
(im using ac3filter 1.01a rc1)
reinstalliation of the codec is useless....

try ac3acm (virtualdub cant use directshow-filters)

no need to bother w/codecs if u only want to 'retailor' a film.  load the 3 parts into avimuxgui, define your split point(s), and let it go.  it'll be fine.
the same should be done w/virtualdubmod.
