try updating to the newest version of d2s..otherwise you might try the other ripping method besides internal...also try to clean your dvd and make sure it doesn't have any scratches.

I have just started it off now using v.strip I have never tried this method before does it just do the whole conversion and leave the images for burning at the end or is it in some way different.Oh by the way I also tried dvd2vcd with the same violation code error.
It is possible that you have run out of Hard drive apace.
sandchar99 good call. If each VOB is about 1gb then you are cutting it very close. You should have at least 10-15gb's free before you start encoding. Unfortunetly that is the nature of the beast.
Vstrip works pretty much the same as the Internal routines, except you can't do chapter ripping.
