Actual graphic card for older motherboard (ASUS CUBX)

Hi all,
I am looking for an actual passively cooled (fanless) graphic card which
fits into an older motherboard (ASUS CUBX with 440BX chipset).

Can anyone help me please?
Is there someone who is running such a card in a ASUS CUBX (please provide the exact graphic card vendor+type).
The main problem is that the 440BX chipset can only provide AGP 1x/2x with 3.3V signal
level. The appropriate specs. is neither provided by the graphic chip manufacturer nor
by the graphic card producer or vendor. Typically only AGP 8x is written in the specs.
Also the next tip to look for the notch in the AGP contacts does not help as there
are many cards who have the wrong notches (e.g. I had one Radeon 9600 card which had
a 3.3V notch but is definitively not able to scope 3.3V which I found out on the ATI
site quot;AGP Compliance Detailsquot;. Also not only the chip but also the bus driver on the
card must support the 3.3V...)

Please help!!!
Thanks

Maro

You could also use a PCI card if you can spare the slot.  I still see those new for $20-40.

Sorry guys, maybe I was not specific enough.

I want an actual AGP graphic card which runs in the ASUS CUBX.

Most helpful would be someone who has such a combination and can post me the type of chip and card...Maro

You were specific enough - what you're asking for doesn't fully make sense.  There's no performance advantage in an AGP graphics card for such an old PC over using a more current PCI card.  You can get an MX4000 in PCI format which is far superior to any AGP 1X/2X card.

time for a upgrade seeing as agp is being phased out and there are no ( new ) cards that will work in such a old board if i were to recomend a passive cooled card than you should look into the x300 range of cards ( which wouldnt be compatable with your board ) there a bit basic but from the spec of youre motherboard it would be like upgrading a standard family saloon with a ferari engine
sorry i couldnt find a new card to fit your board its just too old but im sure a look around ebay and youll find the right thing if your complettly at a loss you could email the manufacturer of any graphics card you might see for sale and ask their official opinion
