I've been curious about this for quite some time now...
Would it ever be possible to create some type of application that could repair an incomplete torrent download?
For instance, I have been getting a file that has been stuck at 97.9% for the last week. No one is seeding it complete, and I just wonder if there's a way to somehow make this file usable without the final 4-5mb of data.
Hi
Please read the forum rules
forum-rules.htm
What rule did he violate? I don't see anything in his post that explicitly violates any of the rules listed.
Unless of course, you are jumping to the conclusion that whatever he happens to be downloading from bittorrent is copywrited material, which is a pretty big assumption.
Rule #6.
We do not support quot;downloadedquot; stuff, whatever it is.
Rules aside, I would say that the question is kind of stupid. quot;Is there a way to magically make 4 to 5 million bytes appear, in correct order, from the middle of nowhere?quot;
The answer is of course No way, unless you're Aladdin.
So let's leave this before it gets out of hand. These kinds of discussions are pointless. |
