This Application will help you find and remove those chunks of video files you thought you had deleted or just plain lost. Recover your hard drive space.
quot;neuron2quot; thought that this was a quot;cool app.quot; and you will too.Sequoia will give you a Vivid picture of you computer bloat.
Delete and enjoy the view.
P.S. I am just sharing the link. The real credit goes to the Visualization Section of the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the Technische Universiteit Eindhoven.
Let me know what you think about it.
It can get very big when I think about Cracky-chan.
(oops, you were talking about something else...)
NM *embarrassed*
Now that is just a good ole Georgia Boy talking now.
You must be from South Georgia. St. Simons Island, Maybe?
Or Hotlanta

further North?
Norcross.
Around Jimmy Carter Blvd. maybe. Never mind, I am getting off topic.
But I've been in Norcross it's not to far from Mercer University.
BTW how do you like the Sequoia app.?
All I know about Norcross is it's where my favorite little computers are made. Yes, I have a model railroad.
Back to the topic - indeed a nice app
Thanks for the link.
Very nice app indeed. A friend of mine found it about two years ago and it has been helping me ever since to determine what's taking up all the space on my HDs: usually it's stuff I can't delete because I need it...
this proggy looks pretty useful. i must try it when i get home.
@ fcchandler:
cracky-chan does not approve of your post
And how would you know?
BTW, SequoiaView is teh cool app! Gosh, until today I didn't realize that my quot;Cracky-chanquot; folder fills half my hard drive...
j/k
Seriously, SequoiaView is very cool. Thanks for the link!

Looks pretty cool, but seems remarkably similar to a tool called spacemonger i've had for ages.
software/spacemonger.html
Both very useful though none-the-less
Yes, they are similar. And I must give credit for the original treemap developement to the University of Maryland.
Open-source is a wonderful thing.
Read the following article on it.JULY 02, 2001 (COMPUTERWORLD) - A second spring is blooming for a uniquely visual interface that lets users view thousands of files at once as proportionately sized rectangles, grouped to represent folders.
These quot;treemapsquot; will see increasing use in applications that can give users a fast yet comprehensive understanding of complex structures, developers say.
Treemap developers from across the U.S. and Europe met at the University of Maryland, College Park, in June to share research results.
New algorithms offer improvements. They maintain ordering, such as by size, alphabet or date created; reduce surprising movements of file images as sizes change; and prevent having a screen with hundreds of razor-thin slices and a handful of squares.
New quot;squarificationquot; algorithms ensure that all files will be represented as squares. One application adds color and 3-D shading techniques.
An open-source Java treemap library, a work in progress, is downloadable for free.
quot;We were thrilled to see how people have started with our basic idea and taken it past where we dreamed it might go,quot; says Ben Shneiderman, a University of Maryland professor who 11 years ago built the first treemap. If you would like more info. or just to check the history and other links then click this link below.
