Problem with final size HC encoder

Good above all they excuse my not well English one, but I am using a translator for it, for what you/they excuse the nuisances, the matter is that once realized the work of the rebuilder + HC, the different resulting final size a lot, even passing from 3.02 GB to 4.10 included gb 4.41 Gb. The question is a parameter you exists where to be able to configure the resulting size better and that you is adapted correctly a DVD5, for example the CCE practically always leaves it in 4.37 gb, I would like them to help me in this respect, a greeting and thank you.

Hidden Settings

These are settings not available via the GUI, but can be set in the 'Rebuilder.ini' file in the your DVD ReBuilder program directory. (Note: this is not the same as the file created in the WORKING directory named 'Rebuilder.ini'). These settings are for advanced users, otherwise they wouldn't be hidden.

All optional settings MUST be placed in the '[Options]' section of the .ini file, otherwise they will be ignored. Any settings changed here will not be activated until the next time you run DVD-RB.
* Target Output Size
   TargetSectors= nnnn    CCETargetSectors=nnnn    ReJigTargetSectors=nnnn    QuEncTargetSectors=nnnn
   Use Sectors, 1 sector = 2Kb.    Example: CCETargetSectors=2236400
   As a reference the default for DVD-RB is 2236400 sectors and the maximum for a DVD-5 is 2297888. You should always leave a some room for error.
   TargetSectors will be the default for all methods. Other, mode specific, target sector settings will override it when using that mode.

I use HCTargetSectors=2261000

from what i understood of your post, you're getting varying file sizes when using HC, but CCE is giving you the exact right size.

make sure 2-pass is being used for HC, as it's 1-pass mode doesn't allow an average bitrate - just a quality level and max bitrate.  also, 2-pass in HC is strangely almost as fast as 1-pass with max bitrate (maybe because of the VBV fixing?).

thank you for your answer, the matter is that I also use the qmatop that will be the constituent of the imbalance in the size at the end, since without the qmatop and with the HCTarjetSectors similar to the one that have put, the final result has been satisfactory, I use the HC to a single step, I put you my rebuilder.ini, and the qmatop.ini, for if you discovered where this the error, because the same movie The Aviator, with the qmatop gives me a result whti the HC of 3.02 GB and with the CCE I am gone to 5.4 Gb, thank you.

Recently I encode the movie Meet the Fockers (Los Padres de él)

I get a size of 4482,4 MB with:

DvdRebuilder 093.1 (Mode only movie)
Qmatop 0.13b
Hc 0.14

Hc: VBR 2Pass
At rebuilder.ini : HcTargetSectors=2266656
At Qmatop.ini : RangeLimit=255

This is realy perfect.

actually not as surprising if you know some of how HC does things.

make sure 2-pass is being used for HC, as it's 1-pass mode doesn't allow an average bitrate - just a quality level and max bitrate.

very important for people to understand. so should be used with care by those who dont fully understand such a modes limits and risks.

I don't recommend the CQ option of HCE because 2pass gives me the better quality and perfect filesize without prediction.
