Could someone please read my Nero error log

Scenario: I attempted to burn multiple .vob files onto a dual layer dvd disc. Obviously, I have failed.

Error log is here

Sorry about the size, I know its kinda big.

hi dvd n00bi3 and welcome to the forum!

i have little experience in using nero, however i would certainly not reccommend its use for burning dual layer dvd's.

i would however highly reccomend using pgc_edit to set your layer break location, and then burn the files using ingtool classic and ingburn.

out of interest, is this an authored dvd or have you simply copied multiple .vob files (without .ifo .bups and menu files) onto a blank disc? if the latter, then you will most likely find that a standalone player will not read these vob files even if the burn was successful

cheers

Although I'm quite familiar with the NERO Burning ROM portion of the NERO suite, I'm not personally familiar with NERO Vision - but there are similarities in the logs.

The quot;InCDquot; portion (a packet writing program) of the NERO suite is known to cause problems with other programs in the suite. You should Uninstall quot;InCDquot;. To do this THOROUGHLY, go to the NERO/Ahead website and download and use the NERO quot;clean toolquot;...

jel and setarip_, thank you for your responses.Originally Posted by jelout of interest, is this an authored dvd or have you simply copied multiple .vob files (without .ifo .bups and menu files) onto a blank disc? if the latter, then you will most likely find that a standalone player will not read these vob files even if the burn was successful

When using Nero and a single layer disc, I am able to burn the .vobs, w/o adding the .ifo or .bup, and my stand alone player can play the disc.  Originally Posted by jeli would however highly reccomend using pgc_edit to set your layer break location, and then burn the files using ingtool classic and ingburn.

If files are not in 'image' format, can ingtool/ingburn still burn them?? One of the things that I like about Nero is that it allows me to create a menu, and from the main menu I can select which .vob I want to watch. I may have forgotten to mention, I'm trying to burn episodes of a television program, and not a full length feature movie.Originally Posted by setarip_oldYour burner (and, therefore, NERO) doesn't quot;likequot; the media you are using

What does this mean exactly??? Do I have a p.o.s. burner that can not read the disc, or do I have a p.o.s. disc that can not be read by my burner??? The burner is a Sony, and the discs are Fugi.Originally Posted by setarip_oldThe quot;InCDquot; portion (a packet writing program) of the NERO suite is known to cause problems with other programs in the suite. InCD has been removed, as per your suggestion.

To determine the capabilities/limitations of your DVD burner, as well as media compatibility, go to:

I'm rather new myself so take this as you may, but I have been quite successful using Nero Burning ROM to copy Dual Layer DVD's .
However, these were direct copies of movies, not edited, and not just a collection of VOB's with a menu as dvd n00bi3 is attempting to create.
