i realy need help already, minutes, problem

i just finished all the step according to the guide dvd9 to dvd5 , i got the vob files but two thing happened :
1. the size of the files i got are 4.54 GB (4,877,365,290 bytes
but this problem i think i can solve by lower the birate AM I WRONG ???

2. The second problem which is the BIG BIG problem - i got a delay of 2.5 minutes in the sound , this problem happened to me also when i done it 4 times already i realy need help so please help me.

The Size of the vob files is really to big. Max. 4.3GB of data is allowed.

2,5 min out of sync? Hm, is it possible that you use the wrong frame rate. The DVD9 to DVD5 guide describes a NTSC DVD. If you have a Pal DVD it's this sync problem is possible.

If you reencode any DVD, leave some space between max. possible data and computed bitrate. Better a slightly smaller movie than a oversized one.
