File too large...

Hi, I've been using DivX for encoding properties for quite a while and I'm quite happy with the bitrate/quality ratio. But since my CD-Player seems to be dying now I'm thinking about a standalone DVD-Player. That's how I came to the idea of trying out the VCD format. I've read about the possibility of creating xVCD's and some people say there is a way of burning 90 min. movies on one CD in still acceptable (VHS-like) quality by changing the tmpg templates in certain ways. I ended up with a movie where I'd say o.k. for the TV but the filesize tmpg produced was around 872 MB and I'm not able to burn this one one CD. I used FitCD to calculate the Bitrate and it gives me 1125 kbps video with 128 kbps audio for one 80 min CD with a movie of 84:30 min. I checked the Bitrate of the encoded movie with BitrateViever and it tells me an average of 1074 kbps for the video. So, does anyone know where the wrong parameter could be?
thanks alot!

Try with this calculators:
