Missing part of film after rip!!

Just ripped a Disney Film using smartripper to stream process video and audio then tried to load in spruce up only to find that there is about 20mins or so missing from the end! How come when smartripper has ripped all the main movie vobs? Is this some kind of protection?
Have also had trouble with the said films with audio being out of sync, using the same method! If only TMPGenc would let you hear the audio track in option 'source range' when altering 'audio gap correct'

When SmartRipper fails I use DVDDecrypter.

DVD Decrypter does the same thing. Tried them both with the same result.

Have you tried SmartRipper in Movie mode, rather than Streams mode?  Failing that, you could always use Vstrip.

If i use movie mode how do i burn it back to dvd-r and what about adding chapters?

Movie mode is by PGC, rather than by stream.  You'll end up with .vobs and .ifos file on HD.  The menu .vob, file #0, gets ripped, along with its associated .ifo file.  I don't do DVD-R production so I can't tell  you if the results would be usable.  Even so, you could check to see if the missing 20 minutes are there.  You'll be able to see the PGC's length without ripping, and you could select a different PGC -- it will always start by selecting angle 1 of the longest one, but you can select any other, in any title on the disc.
