DVD2SVCD settings for DVD-R? understand, settings, learning, instead, methods

Does anyone have the link to use DVD2SVCD for a DVD-R compliant MPEG2 instead?  Somebody mentioned once you can tweak that utility to handle all the CCE functions for you, but I can't find the guide.  Most of the other DVD-9 to DVD-5 guides are too complicated for me as I am not a CCE expert.

Learn DVD9-gt;DVD5 methods and you'll soon know enough to understand how to tweak dvd2svcd if you really wanted to, but after learning DVD9-gt;DVD5, you won't even want to use DVD2SVCD, since it's pointless overhead.

By the way, I'm moving this thread since this obviously has nothing to do with Advanced DVD Authoring.  Please post in the correct forums from now on.

Let me refrase my question, after using this method your DVD plays on all the players and most important does it plays on a PS2???
If your answer is yes please let me know, I'm looking for a way to backup some movies to be played on a PS2.
