What's the easiest way to work with subtitle?
I have Asus DVD E616,Asus CD-Writter 321240, I want to rip subtitle from my dvd and translate it to my language . What're programs should I use? Anybody help me please.I am a newbie.I am using DVDx 2.0 , Subrip , Translator 1.6.3.140.I am confused now.

And you should be confused! It's always so when starting something new amp; complex. Read guides for start, experience...
There is no 'easiest way'.
1. Rip the DVD to harddrive (to get rid of encryption).
2. Use VobSub to extract the desired vobsubs.
3. Use SubRip to OCR a language that can be used for translation. Choose SSA to preveserve VobSub formatting in the best manner.
4. Make sure the SSA is synced towards the movie, if not, make the correct SubRip settings and rip again with the help of your saved character matrix file.
5. Translate.

It can translate from Japanese to many other languages . But maybe it got some bugs now . I can't see any subtitle in player . I asked author to find the way solved it now . It's really very cool .

I believe it's more or less just an editor that allows you to type in the translations yourself while seeing the original line. It doesn't do any automatic translation of any kind that I can tell.
