Hi all, I tried to throw a few automatic deinterlacers but the red channel is just out of wack.

It's a capture from DVT (I mean, digital over the air). Suggestions?
you cannot do anything against this temporal blur of the chroma. (It is not just red. all colors are affected)
Someone just inserted a brute force temporal chroma denoiser (which is blending four fields) into the transmission way.

Thanks scharfis. Out of curiosity, who do you think did that: the broadcaster or my capture card (Hauppauge 1100)?
which way was the capture done?
is it a capture of a Digital TV signal connected via analog to you TV-Card an then encoded to MPEG-2 again?
or is it the direct mpeg-2 stream off the sattelite?

It's a DVB-T (the signal is broadcasted over the air by regular antennas, not satellite, and arrives to my hauppauge 1100 via the coax coming from my antenna on the roof, so it should be digital all the way).
so, there is nothing, you can do against it.
