My decoder is not working

Hi,
I have downloaded one decoder from Net. It is dist10 package.
When I decode .mp3 file using this, it gives me AIFF supported file. Now when I give this file directly to decoder, it is not being played. That driver is of s3c2410 board and codec on this is UDA1341.
Is it like that codec can play only wave files or only some files?
When i m giving .wav file to decoder, it is nicely played.
