backed up a dvd and must have deselected the audio track by mistake on rebuild or something. The compiled dvd is now 250mb shorter than expected due to no audio. Can i do a 100% backup, save the m2v files to another folder then do the same with the original and copy my encoded files over them to save having to encode the whole thing again?
i wonder (just really really guessing here)
do a no compression prepare and encode on the rebuilt disk (with audio sleected), then change the source folder back to original and do a rebuild...
i wonder if that would work
I've done that many times.
1. Do a prepare in one folder against the newly created disc and quot;No compressionquot; mode.
2. Do a prepare in another folder using the original disc.
3. Copy the M2V files from folder 1 into folder 2.
4. Edit Rebuilder.INF in Folder 2 and add quot rogress=2quot; to the [Status] area.
5. Restart DVD-RB (in 3 click mode) and do a REBUILD...
woot i cant believe i guess right!!!
hope it works for ya

cheerz
Progress=1 means the PREPARE phase has been completed, but not ENCODE.
Progress=2 means the ENCODE phase has been completed, but not REBUILD.
Progress=3 means the REBUILD phase has been completed.
Encode_Progress=n indicates how many segments have been completed (for resume).
quot;nothing to doquot; indicates there were no .M2V files in the working directory. If it worked, that means you were still pointed to the quot;No recompressionquot; working directory -- but the source was changed to the original... there's more than one way to skin a cat, I guess. |
