Couple of questions

I have a couple of a questions :
1) Is there a way i can burn a .avi movie on cd so i could watch it on dvd ?
2) How do i put subtitles which i download from the net so i can see them in the movie ?

1) Is there a way of reading guides and FAQs before posting questions that have been answered hundreds times before?
2) Is it possible to use the very complicated and slow search function on this board
