Error 0006:

Here's the error:

quot;DVD-RB has found framecount differences between the PREPARE and REBUILD phases. Aborting.quot;

Trying to back up quot; The Incrediblesquot; using quot;Movie and Menu onlyquot; mode.

I'm using the latest version of DVD-RB along with CCE 2.70

Any suggestions? If ya need more info let me know. DVD-RB closed when it encountered the error so I couldn't post the log.

I suspect it has to do with angles/interleaving..but I'm not to knowledgable in this area.

Thanks
Thrac

I think there has to be more to this.  Are you doing any pre, post, or intermediate processing with some other package?   That error only occurs when the M2V file representing the current segment being merged into the output VOB has more frames than the original segment.  That, of course, should be impossible.

I did some futher testing, and am quite shocked at the results. If I pre-process with Voblanker it finishes the encode/rebuild fine. It's only when I choose quot;Movie and Menu onlyquot; mode that I revieve this quot;Error 0006quot;.

This is a straight rip via dvddecryptor no errors. When I load the project in dvd-rb it notes that there is quot;Angle and/or Interleaving presentquot;.

This is the only dvd I've had a problem with. All other process fine.

Also, with the release of v 1 rc1,rc2 you've outdone yourself. WTG!

I'll check it out and see what the connection is to Movie and Menu Only mode.

i think vobblanker recognises angles and ilvu in segments but chooses to skip them and copy them as they are, as it doesn't support processing/blanking them yet.

so maybe it was one of the normal segments that you have chosen to blank that was the real culprit.

one of my las vegas series 1 disks suffered from error 6, and i turned to vobblanker in desperation. to this day i don't understand how or why it worked, but afterwards rebuilder ran through to completion without errors.

i'd be grateful if you could give more details of what you did so i can maybe understand it more myself.

First, I ripped with dvddecryptor in file mode. I then load it up in DVD-RB. I choose quot;Movie and Menu Onlyquot; mode. For Video Title sets DVD-RB lists VTS_01,VTS_06,VTS_07 and VTS_09. quot;VTS_01quot; is the main movie. I choose to remove all Subs and audio except The main 6 chan english audio for VTS_01.
I use 3 folders for this process. quot;SOURCEquot;,quot;DVDREBUILDSquot; and quot;DVDWORKquot; to keep everything seperated and this has always worked flawless for me.

it prepares and encodes fine, but during the rebuild stage at about 65% I get the quot;0006quot; error.

As a last resort I figured I would blank the extras with quot;Voblankerquot; myself and see if DVD-RB would error the same.

In Voblanker I chose to blank everything the same as DVD-RB did. Leaving 01,06,07 and 09 Title sets alone. Voblanker does it's thing without errors and I load it in DVD-RB. This time unticking quot;Movie and Menu Onlyquot;.

Prepare,Encode and Rebuild finishes without error. Strange eh?

I wish I undestood more about DVD structure so I could be of more help here...but I know only enough to get into trouble

Cheers

DVD-RB is doing something wrong in the blanking, apparently,  I'll look at it.  Is this a PAL or NTSC version of quot; The Incrediblesquot;?

I too had this error for a while. I've selected movie and menu only and got two times error 0006. I've finally decided to put those two dvd's through dvdremake and then process the whole results in dvd-rb without selecting quot;movie and menu onlyquot;.

This worked well in both case. I don't know if that can help you pinpoint the problem.

Cheers
