I stripped all unwanted stuff from 2 DVDs quot;Reign of Firequot; and quot;Stargatequot;. The curious thing is that both DVDs re-compiled into 4.69Gs. Just too big to fit onto a DVD-R. Is there something I'm missing or doing wrong or just unlucky with my first 2 titles?
it can happen, when a movie is too big, that after striping audio an subtitle tracks you still end up with a set of files to big to fit on the disc.
here's a little check list:
- strip unwanted audio.
- strip unwanted subs.
- strip unwanted menu languages, both in VIDEO_TS.vob and in your main movie VTS as well. that is because sometimes a movie animated menus, for more than one language.
there are other things you can do...
- remove end credits.
- remove main menu (movie only)
- if you want to keep the menu, you can strip vob id's and keep just the main page and the language/subtitles selection menu.
if you've done all that, well then it time to reencode!!!
