Maestro/Scenarist and half-horizontal rez

I've been working on some VHS to DVD conversions and settled on encoding the VHS captures at half-horizontal resolution (352x480). Now when I author the DVD with Maestro, the first time it loads the movie you can see the DVD player resize the picture from half-screen to full screen, and even worse, when you fast-forward or rewind the DVD it only displays 1/2 screen. I'm using a Pioneer 343 DVD player. Now when I author the same DVD in Scenarist in pretty much the same way, the video is always displayed at full screen, even when fast-forward or rewinding. Has anyone else noticed this? I coudn't find anything in the forums. I'd rather use Maestro as it is easier to set chapter marks but I can't stand watching the movie 1/2 screen when fast-forwarding. Ideas? Anyone?

Depends on the standalone u r watching from. Mine Philips 723 and Affrey 1020 do display full screen in every case. So I think that its just bad luck.

I just tried the Maestro disc on the Xbox and it works fine. I guess I just wanted to warn people that DVDs made with Maestro will behave differently from those made with Scenarist, even if the MPEG files, audio, menus etc. are exactly the same. The Maestro authored disc doesn't resize fast enough from half to full rez in my Pioneer player and it is really noticable (and annoying). Don't really know why. Just another thing to add in the Maestro vs. Scenarist debate.
