Hi,
Do someone know how to only use AC3-Filter in order to playback DivX-AC3 ?
Currently, on the BSPlayer's properties, the player use InterVideo Filter and AC3-Filter.
It results a dolby surround output instead of 2/2 one.
Thanks.
Simply un-install the iviaudio.ax and then
install and configure the ac3filter, it's done
Hi all,
I installed AC3filter under W98SE. It is being a difficult
experience ...
The installation has not been working properly. I had to
hand register ac3filter. I have got NO control panel applet.
I rundll32 with ac3filter configure, but the apply button is
non-acting. When I press save, rundll faults and crashes...
I uninstalled iviaudio by hand; but, it does continue appearing
in BSPlayer. Not surprisingly ;-( ac3filter does NOT appear ...
Tryied to run a bat (in the AC3filter directory, something for... do not know now, not at home, but to make it work anyhow) and got quot;not enough environment spacequot;.
Yes, I installed the WDM W98 update before AC3filter.
I had soundblaster livewire environment installed ...
I have notice that if I play with BSPlayer (last version) a .m2v
with .ac3 audio, and ask for properties, AC3filter appears ...
What information should I provide and or what could I test to
make it work?
Please, need help.

Windows 2000 or XP an option? BSPlayer is not very flexible when it comes to using audio filters other than Intervideo or Cyberlink. I suggest trying a player that supports DirectShow better such as Zoom Player or PowerDivx.
What version of AC3filter are you using? Have you searched your drive to make sure no other copies of iviaudio.ax exist? Intervideo option will _always_ appear in the BSPlayer options and AC3filter will _never_ display. Forget that, right click on the BSPlayers movie window and selct properties; you should see AC3filter listed.
Thanks, but how to un-install the iviaudio.ax ?
Find the file on your drive, then open a command prompt and browse to the directory where file exists(eg. C:\Program files\Intervideo)
type regsvr32 /u iviaudio.ax
This should unregister it.
i had the same problems with w98se and valex ac3filter (v0.63) - no spdif-output to choose, crashes while trying to register the filter manually and the quot;waveout.batquot; didn't work either.
maybe you could try an older version of that filter.
i'm running v0.55 and it works pretty well.
good luck.
@ dr.schanker,
Thanks for the suggestion. I will try that version. By the way,
I think Valex itself included in sourceforge lists of bugs the
problems with W98.
I will look forward to a new AC3filter version.
How funny, my audio quot;endeavourquot; started trying to find a solution
to the mono encoding of Dr. Strangelove ... I have some kind of
echo/reververation in the wavs that I have not been able to remove,
I thought that perhaps they were not but only artifacts of the audio
filter ... Nobody gave me a real answer to that question, I have
seen related to AC3 Monos. I´ll try with last BeSweet b12 that outputs
also Mono.
Thanks in advance,

Yes, v0.63b have some problems with w98. Now I'm testing new prerelease that should solve most of them. You can try it at:
dow...filter_rc2.exe
crashes while trying to register
You're first about this...
@Valex
Thanks. For this answer but fundamentally for AC3filter!
Will report how things go.

Hi all,
The v.64b_RC2 installed properly in W98SE. I have now an
applet in my control panel to control AC3filter behaviour. :-)
No crash at exit of the applet.
Only one minor thing, apply button is not quot;actionablequot;,
but it seems that it is unnecessary.
Thanks,
DCK21
PS
Now, it seems that we have to convince bsplayer people to introduce
the AC3Filter in the preferences ... or change player. |
