Rose Red pal dvd mixed video
Hi
I am trying to make a one disc bacup of rose red pal, becouse i dont like switshing discs
in the middle of a movie, and its on two discs orginal.
The problem is the movie is encoded as progressive on the orginal discs and that is good
but at three plases in the movie it is interlaced i think, it looks that way to me.
I havent don a movie before whith mixed content so i hope any one that have the time can help me
whit it.
I can owcourse encode the movie in interlaced mod but hope to do it progressive sens it is only
five mins in the movie that has the interlaced look.
I was planing to encode the parts that is interlased and make it progressiv then cut them together
whith the rest of the movie and encode the hole thing.
When i tryed to use restore24 the picture was jerky and lookt bether encoded interlased whith out
restore24.
I will try to upload a sample of the part that is interlaced.
My english is bad i hope some one understands this. Try Telecide(). The quot;interlaced partquot; may be just field-shifted.
Clip from movie.

It looks like a section of NTSC 3:2 material that was field-blended to PAL frame rate.
scharfis_brain, MOmonster, and MugFunky are the experts on this kind of thing. Perhaps they will chime in.
Thanks for the info neuron2.
Hi O.S.D
So many strange sources everywhere. Ok, i took a look at your short sample. Its really hard to restore, so if you can live with the blending just deinterlace this small part. This would be the easiest solution. Maybe it´s because a strange encoding or so, but the luma shows a norm conversion from ntsc to pal (in the small cases I look at, will have a closer look), so the luma is fieldblended, but as I looked to the chroma, I see that it is frameblended and doesn´t show´s any pattern. So not Crestore or restore24 will produce really nice results.
If this are really small parts and you can live with it use the simple deinterlacing or try to encode it with the interlaced parts, else I try to find an acceptable solution for you, if I have some more time.
Thank you MOmonster and neuron2 for taking time and helping me whith the movie, i will try to deinterlace the parts. |
