With ffdshow, there is an option to decode mp3 audio, via libmad and mp3lib, while with zoom player i see that mp3 streams inside avi containers decode with fraunhoffer mp3 decoder, which i think is the default mp3 decoder for windows, so is ffdshow mp3 decoder better than windows one, if yes, which one?

decoders by default have to output exactly the same stream, so the only real difference between them can be decoding speed
