Problems reading discs just burned

A data disc of just photos and mp3s XP tells me there is no disc BUT if I put the disc into a WIN 98 machine it will see it. Older burned discs have no problem. Pro made discs have no problem. Only stuff burned on this burner/machine can't be read by it. 1 out of 6 cdrs I have the same prombem. ISO buster does'nt see it either. I even switched from NERO 6.xx down to NERO 5 and also to Alchol 120. No luck.
The DMA is set correct.  Under driver details there are 10 drivers 4 are certified Microsoft

win xp sp2 using a pioneer 106d drive with Imation and Maxell dvd-r stock and Philips dvd+r stock. Maxell , imation, tdk cdrs.

Anyone have an answer???
Allen

To sum it up anything burned on this can't be read by this machine.
Is it the burner or windows not being able to read it?
If the answeer has been addressed in the past and is posted elsewere please let me know.

1) You might want to try burning at a low (2X or 4X) speed

2) You also might want to try running a DVD/CD cleaning disc on your burner. Maxell makes one that retails for approximately $10US...

I bought a CD/DVD cleaner for $10 and it worked like a charm.
Problem fixed!!!!!!!!
