You know when you make an MP3 File you can insert like title song, produced by and artist and so forth. Can that be done when you making your Xvid Video file and if so what program can insert that information and Im using the AVI container
Nope, AVI doesn't support that. You'd have to use a container that supports tagging, like MKV.
After a HD crash, I was able to recover 100Gb of xvid/avi and mp3 files... without any filename. Mass tagging of MP3 helped me recover every filename in a flash. For avi, it was a more painfull process
This is why I am also interested in avi container quot;taggingquot;.
One simple solution could be to tag the MP3 track that is inside the avi container. Does it make sense? However I could not find any tool to read/write this information. Any idea?

No, avi support taging. You can use abcAvi Tag Editior or Nandub (but only few tags present)
Thank you shon3i!
abcAvi Tag Editor is just what I was looking for : a nice avi tagging tool, with power user functions if needed.
With Nandub, you need to resave the whole avi file (it takes some time and HD space, even ith direct stream copy). |
