Cant stop Vdub Mod from forcing re-encoding of audio.
Yes, I have the latest versions of VirtualDub, VirtualDub Mod, and Xvid (Koepi's Stable Build).
I have a silent AVI file I encoded with VirtualDub, and a VBR MP3 (yes yes I know, its not standard to use vbr mp3 in an avi) I encoded in Lame that I want to mux together with VirtualDub Mod. Ive been doing this for years without a problem, but now for some reasion, despite selecting Direct Stream copy for BOTH the video and audio in Vdub Mod, it still seems to re-encode the audio uncompressed, resulting in a large AVI file where the audio stream is larger than the video stream!
I dont understand why this is happening as I havent has this problem before when muxing a silent AVI and a VBR Mp3 like this before, anyone have any idea why this is happening? And how to fix it?
Hi!
Would you please load the muxed .AVI into VirtualDubMOD and post a screen capture of the quot;File Informationquot; box?
Err..... I CANNOT believe I missed that. When looking at the File Information box I noticed that it was my video thats an insane size. They are double the size of what they should have been, I guess I set my codec compression settings wrong when making the video.
You're welcome ;gt;} |
