I recently started backing up DVDs that I bought, due to my daughters thinking its funny to pull out the dvds and toss them around. I havent had to many issues but I am having one with Derailed.
I used DVD Decrypter and got the ISO, now Im using DVD Shrink to try and make it the right size and burn it. The problem I am running into is that the movie itself is 6.4gig. Did I do something wrong with Decrypter or is the movie just too long to fit on a disk? Any help is greatly appreciated.
EDIT: Ok not sure whats going on, when I use reauthor I see the file as 6.4gig as I stated above, when I drag it over to the DVD structure side it comes up as 4.5gig, I dont understand how/why it can be both sizes?
Basically, when you are reauthoring, the size in the right hand side is the total, available size of the film. When you move it to the left pane, you're getting the final, compressed size. You can further reduce the percent of compression by removing any needless sound sources, and subtitles by using custom compression settings after moving the film.
Good luck,

Hi!
As long as the colorbar at the top is ENTIRELY green (NO red), it will be sufficiently compressed to fit on your single-sided, single-layer (quot;DVD-5quot;) burnable media... |
