AutoGK 2.20 vs. 2.26

I'm not sure if this has to do with the DivX problem that has already been made sticky.

Version 2.20 runs perfectly, even with DivX 6.1, and 2.26 does not start at all - meaning I don't even get any messageboxes telling me it shut down.

If this is the DivX prob, then sorry for posting it again, but if it's not, I'd be grateful for a hint.

Which I did, but in my case the effects are different from those mentioned in the sticky and those described in other threads.

I only skimmed all the posts however what I got was that 2.26 doesn't start if DivX 6.1 is installed. Which is what your post would suggest.

The lack of an error message is a bit weird, although if I was to try and reproduce it I would get a dubugger popup instead since I have VS installed, so just because you get a different response doesn't mean all that much.

What your post doesn't reveal is whether you tried without DivX 6.1 installed. Presumably not since your statement quot;If this is the DivX prob, the sorry for posting it againquot;. Since if it occurs without DivX installed then it can't possibly be to do with DivX.

That's what I'll try next. Since I'm not sure if DivX6.1 isn't producing better results (compared to XviD) faster in some cases, I'll rather end up using AGK 2.20 than not having DivX 6.1 on my machine. But I'll try at least.
