What subtitles format/color are compatible w/ DVDLab Pro?
Hi,
I have Fearless DVD, one with english subtitle, and one with an asian language. I'd like to combine both subtitles in a backup version.
I'm using DVDLab Pro 1.6 to reauthor. However, when i import the .sst (w/ .bmps) generated by SubRip, i get subtitles that has bg quot;blackquot;, which hides the movie everytime they appear.
So what color combination (the four colors) or format should i use with SubRip to output subtitles compatible with DVDLab?
Thanks!

It sounds like the background pixel in the outputted subpics is not set to transparent. I don't know if this can be done when exporting the .sst file with .bmps in SubRip, or when importing the files in DVDLab Pro?
However, if you want to fix your already authored disc, you can run it through DVDSubEdit and easily change the transparency to 0 (clear) for the pixel type that's used for the background in the subpics.
InuyashaSama,
Thanks for the tip, but the thing is that i am ripping Vietnamese subtitles, and it has accent and caracters that OCR won't able to recognize, that's why i have to use bmps.CoNS
I did try DVDSubEdit, and i manage to change the subtitles to color i want, but i somehow always get a quot;freezequot; of the dvd when i try to play it back the main movie after modifying and saving the vobs. I always end up with a non working DVD after playing around with DVDSubEdit.
I just don't know what else i can do.
Try to use PGCDemux to extract the needed files including the SUP files. Than use Muxman to reauthor the DVD with new SUP files. If you want to add a subtitle which is not included in the DVD, make it from a SRT in SUP using SubtitleCreator.
If you want to keep the menu, use the Replacing function from VobBlanker and replace the main movie with the one authored by you with Muxman.
enjoy,
Mtz
It all works fine thanx all.
The problem i have now is that i need to fix the subtitles timescodes manually, since most of them are unsynched a bit here and there.
Any good software for that? Easy to do?
daehkcid - use subtitle workshop for subtitle synchronization for almost any text based sub such as srt, ssa, sub etc
SubtitleCreator also has some very nice features for synchronization of both text subtitles (.srt or .sub) and bitmap subtitles (.sup).
For text subtitles you can use tools in the Synchronization menu in SubtitleCreator. Or you can use the feature to synchronize your text subtitles directly with the DVD preview (load a DVD into SubtitleCreator, enable quot;Show DVD synchronization windowquot; in Settings menu and use the pause button to be able to synchronize with the DVD)
To change the timecodes in bitmap subtitles (.sup files) you can use the Manipulate SUP tool in the Tools menu...
Check out the user manual that comes with the app for further info on these features.
